Doors, Mirrors, and Windows: A Deep Dive in Young Adult Lit and Diversity This professional development conference is a wonderful opportunity to take a deep dive with the same group of people on one topic over three days. I lead a session this past year taking a deep dive into YA Lit and diversity. This is divided up into 5 different sessions where you can see the links below and links to the resource folders. Some of the focus was on how to encourage students to read diversely in their independent reading. Other sessions were focused on how we can bring in exemplary diverse YA literature in as supplemental texts to core classroom texts.
